July Newsletter 1st-12th Grade

Dear Parents,

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6 KJV) What an awesome responsibility we have as parents and educators!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2010-2011. Please read carefully.

• Wednesday, September 8th- First day of school.

      School Hours:

      1st - 6th Grade: 8:30am - 2:50pm

      7 - 12 Grade: 8:15am - 3:20pm

• Tuition is a yearly cost. Please see the front office for payment plans available. As previously announced the tuition rates are as follows:

• 1-6 grades-$2,800
• 7-8 grades-$3,100
• 9-12 grades-$3,300

• General Fund Family Fee: $250 (per family, per year)
• School Supply lists are enclosed. Please send these items with your student(s) on the first day of school.
• Students will need to bring lunch daily. See handbook for specifics on microwave use, etc.
• Chapel is each Wednesday. Please check the handbook for appropriate clothing to be worn.
• Teachers: Preschool, Shari Garvision; Kindergarten, Grace Ragland; 1st grade, DiAnne Strauss; 2nd grade, Kalika Shackelford; 4th grade, Amy (Banks) Miller; 5th grade, Shaelynne Wachlin; 6th grade, Bobbi Wilson; Jr. High & High School: Teresa White, John Bister, Lance Tucker, Sharon Gann and Mary Parker. Currently, we are interviewing teachers for the 3rd grade class.

   We are looking forward to another great school year at Grace Christian as we work together to “let our light shine” in a darkened world.
