October 2nd grade Newsletter

It’s now October, and with this month comes the pumpkin patch and harvest parties! We will be visiting Bauman Farms this year on Thursday, October 15th. Please see the papers titled “Parental Agreement” and “Volunteer Application” and return by Monday, October 12th. If you cannot find one of these forms they can be found on the Grace Christian School webpage (see below).

Our Harvest Party will be on October 30th and will also be our first pajama day! We will be needing party supplies such as plates, cups, snack items, and drinks. If you are able to help out with any of these please fill out the sheet next to our door titled “Party List”. There is an attached list so that you can see the items we have selected. In second grade, we have reading homework EVERY night. There is a reading folder that I send home with the assigned reading book daily, and this must be filled out for your child to receive credit for his/her reading homework. 

Our first class store will be on October 29th or 30th. This is where we have a chance to spend some of the money we have been earning for good behavior, participation, etc. We will need help from you to get this store running! We are looking for items ranging from $1 to $10. Other items we could use in the classroom are gift cards to Michael’s for crafts, small candies for winning games (no gum), and disposable microwaveable plates.
