Playground maintenance underway (updated)
Staff, students, and volunteers dig in to a pile of fresh cedar chips for our playground
Maintenance work on our playground is underway in preparation for the new school year. The wooden swings and play structures have been painted, and are receiving a full safety inspection to ensure that all bolts are tight, chains are strong, and any loose nails or screws are repaired.
Stairs on the slide structure are being repaired. Some steps are being replaced, and loose nails are being replaced with screws.
A fresh layer of cedar chips has been spread throughout the playground to improve the safety of the play surface.
