New Third Grade Teacher

The new teacher of our third grade class is Amy Marsh. She attended Trinity Western University where she graduated with her BA (Education and Linguistics minor with a concentration in mathematics) in 2006. After graduating, Amy taught for two years in South Korea where she prepared and taught lessons to over 1000 Korean middle school students. She has passed the Praxis II test in Advanced Math in preparation for her Oregon Teaching Certificate. She has been a volunteer at an orphanage where she worked with preschool children as well as being a group co-founder of an inner city reading program. As a tutor, she prepared and taught lessons in math and phonics for elementary students. GCS is happy to have her as part of our dedicated staff.
