Shari Garvison
Shari is our Preschool teacher, and has been at GCS for nine years.
I began my career at Grace Christian School in the year of 2000 as the preschool assistant. In 2005, I accepted the preschool teaching position.
Some of my greatest childhood influences were teachers. I will never forget my kindergarten teacher or my Sunday school teachers. I believe their influences and Godly wisdom helped to inspire my passion for God, teaching, and children.
My Early Childhood Education started in high school when I took a Child Development class and job shadowed at a local preschool in the afternoons. After having children of my own, I took classes at Clackamas Community College and I opened a state-certified day care. I then began looking for the classroom setting of a preschool. I have taught in a variety of preschool settings including several Christian schools, Sunday schools, home school and Learning Tree Day School. After enrolling my two daughters at Grace Christian, I knew this was the place I would like to start a career. I love the leadership, teachers, and families involved here at Grace Christian.
My husband Jeff and I are currently raising four wonderful and very busy teenagers. We enjoy vacationing, camping, beach trips, and just hanging out. We currently attend Mountain View Community Church.
