Lance Tucker

 I have been a teacher at Grace Christian School for seven years , beginning as a volunteer teaching art to my daughter’s second grade class, and now as a full time teacher in the Junior High and high school.   But the truth is, I have been a teacher for much longer.  As a father of two girls, a youth group leader, pastor and an elder in my church, and a lifelong learner, I have been in the teaching business for most of my life. It’s a passion.

                My journey has taken me many places from my California roots including college in Iowa, youth ministry in South Dakota, and ultimately landing me here to Oregon—first, Sweet Home and finally Portland.  It was in Portland that I met my wife Terri, and we settled down to build a life together.

I studied at Luther College, National Broadcasting, and Portland State pursuing various degrees in Broadcast Engineering, Communication, and Design.  I don’t believe I will ever stop learning…or teaching.
