Jan Galan
Ms. Galan teaches 6th grade.
Born into a pastor’s home, I was blessed with numerous opportunities to work with children as a young person. This flamed into action my aspirations to teach and counsel children. In 1990, I graduated from Northwest University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science, minoring in Elementary Education.
I was married in 1994 and blessed with 3 beautiful children; Isabella, Carmella and Diego. I have since become a single parent and I am so thankful to have a career that has allowed me to remain actively involved with my kids while supporting them.
My teaching experience has been with preschool, Kindergarten, Second, and Sixth grades primarily. However, I have been a substitute teacher in both the private and public schools for all grade levels. I truly believe in the importance of Christian Education and value the development of a biblical worldview.
I plan to finish my Master’s degree in education in the near future as I continue to pursue the vision for Christian Education. As for now, my life is enhanced daily as I teach Sixth grade at Grace Christian School. I am extremely blessed to teach what I believe, knowing my own children are receiving the same.
