Amy Marsh
Ms. Marsh joins GCS this year as our 3rd grade teacher.
Hi, my name is Amy Marsh and I will be teaching Third grade at Grace Christian this year. My teaching experience started at Trinity Western University where I studied education and graduated in 2006 with a BA focused in education, mathematics and linguistics. During university I worked as president of the Future Teacher Society and observed and student-taught in both elementary and middle school grades.
After graduation, I moved to South Korea where I taught English in a middle school of over 1,000 students. I also had the opportunity to volunteer for two years in an orphanage working with preschoolers, participated in missions, and traveled to more than 10 different countries in SE Asia. While I was traveling and living abroad, God’s creation continually amazed me. God’s creation goes so much further than the beautiful outdoors. It extends into the similarities and differences between each individual in each culture and country. Teaching is one of my biggest passions because it enables me to interact with and contribute to the lives of God’s most amazing creation: children.
Since returning to the United States, I have been working as a tutor in math and phonics and studying towards a Masters in Education. I am excited to grow with the Third grade students this year through the exploration of science, math, reading, phonics, history, language and the arts.
